As a family-run business in its third generation, we have always lived from and with nature. In the beginning, it was our own farm combined with a bakery; later came the café, followed by guest rooms. And today? We blend modern comforts with our roots. Every detail of the interior reflects a great sense of style, as well as our love for the alpine nature right outside our door. That is why our Elements apartments are inspired by the elements of fire, water, earth, and air—perfect for switching off, recharging, and feeling at ease. Our greatest source of strength lies all around us: the mountain world of the Kitzbühel Alps, reminding us every day where we come from and where we truly belong. With all our heart.
Baked-in Hospitality!
The story of our hotel begins in the 1940s—and it’s fair to say that our roots are quite literally in the dough. The first generation, Elisabeth and Josef Heigenhauser, ran a bakery alongside their own farm. The next natural step was opening a café, and during a major renovation in 1964, the first guest rooms were added. In 1998, the business was handed over to the second generation, Josef Jr., and in 2012 the third generation took over: son and grandson Andreas Heigenhauser.
What happened next:
2012
Things heat up and get refreshing: construction of a new sauna, relaxation area, and adventure showers.
2013
Major renovation of the main building—everything is new: Deluxe double rooms, family suites, tower suite, entrance area, reception, and lobby. The two buildings are connected by an underground passage.
2014
A fresh look outdoors as well: redesign of the garden and terrace.
2018
Renovation of all rooms in the former bakery building (Alpine Double Rooms and Alpine Single Rooms) and creation of a natural swimming pool in the garden with sunbathing area. A moment of private joy: son Theo, the fourth generation, is born.
2019
We say “I do”: the wedding of Andreas & Isabella Heigenhauser.
2020
Delight for the senses in a welcoming atmosphere: complete renovation of the dining room and buffet area.
2021
Even more green: expansion of the garden’s lounging area.
2023
The birth of Elements by Heigenhauser—five new apartments in the attic of the former bakery building. The exterior façade also shines in a new look.
2024
Our family happiness continues to grow: the birth of our second son, Emil.
2024
Things get even hotter: addition of a second sauna in the wellness area.
2025
Purchase of a staff house for our team.
